First, I suggest a Forum be established to deal specifically with Blu-ray issues.
Version 2.2.4 Weatherwax. Jean-Baptiste and all the crew: Thank you for making this fine player available!
Background: In the "Open Media" dialog > "Disc" tab > "Disk Selection" section, when I select "Blu-ray", "No disc menus" is automatically checked. This suppresses the Title Menu and makes it difficult to play lower numbered titles in a multi-title, branching Blu-ray disc.
Scenario 1a: If I uncheck "No disc menus" and play a disc that is Region A+B+C (i.e., all regions), it plays fine and the Title Menu works.
Scenario 1b: If I uncheck "No disc menus" and attempt to play a disc that's Region A, I get a message that "This disc has been coded for Region A only and will not play in this machine. Please eject this disc and play on a Region A player."
Scenario 2: If I check "No disc menus", the disc plays fine.
I know this is a known issue, but I thought I'd report that I'm available for further testing since Blu-ray menus do work in some circumstances.
Testing: I tried this both with & without also launching PowerDVD 11, starting the movie, and then setting PowerDVD 11 to pause prior to launching VLC.
Regards,
Mark.
