I can't record the first seconds of a video

I don't know what happens.

I tried clicking first on the record button and then on the play button, and viceversa, first clicking on the play button and then on the record button but the video saved is always missing the first few seconds.

I clicked very fast the two buttons and it is not normal, ANy ideas?

This looks a very practical tool that I need, I don't know any other software able to do the same function in such an efficient an easy way.

I have to add that I get the same error with any other software. I start to think the problem is on the video itself, it is a video downloaded from internet. Any ideas on how to solve this?
