Dumb Preferences question

Off the bat: I did try searching the forums etc. first, but no luck.

On to my dumb question: Is there a way to permanently set the "Open File..." dialog box default to "Video files" instead of "Media files"?
I know it's just one more click-n-drag than otherwise, but I work with a lot of audio files with dedicated programs for those, and would love to save the step!
