Any workarounds to mitigate lack of gapless playback video support?

Any workarounds to mitigate lack of gapless playback video support?

Postby ajkessel » 19 May 2017 17:19

I gather from prior threads that gapless playback (whether video or audio) is not supported and unless I'm missing something isn't happening any time soon.

So I'm wondering if there are any settings at all (or other techniques) that could be used to minimize the very noticeable pause that occurs when going from one video file to the next in a playlist? Assume the video files are all the same format, codec, bitrate, etc (here, M2TS). Is there anything a user can do to improve the experience, or is the default behavior the best we can do?
