.srt files display time not text

Postby steelcaress » 18 Apr 2017 20:41

I created an .srt file for a movie I have, and unfortunately VLC doesn't want to play it correctly. It just plays the time like this: --> 00:15:55 instead of what I have typed. What's funny is that it works in Media Player Classic. Is there something I've done wrong? And if there is, how do I fix it?

How did you create the .srt file? Is the format correct? If you provide a file (a download link), then we can check it.
