Applying video filter on streaming video

Postby yairko » 18 Apr 2017 08:47

Hello,

I try to run a video filter on a streaming video with no success.
For example, this option "--video-filter=invert" responds with an error that video filter invert failed to create.

Can someone guide me through this ?
Thank you

You guide yourself through it!

I'll get you started.

If you are trying to stream something out and do that, then you need to use the transcode option on the stream to have that filter applied(transcode is the way to apply a filter since it involves.... transcoding the video). and that transcode option is called vfilter, and the invert filter specified as that "video-filter"(vfilter).

Read the first paragraph here to get the idea of what's going on:
https://wiki.videolan.org/Documentation ... mand_Line/
then you can check down to the transcode section(and further, it can tell you about each video filters in a link there).

Tell us how you make out!
