Mouse Wheel click cannot be assigned?

Mouse Wheel click cannot be assigned?

I was trying to assign click my wheel as in

Tools > Preferences > Hotkeys

but I could not get it to be recognized as a valid key. I can assign wheel up and wheel down, but not the clicking with it
