Double-listing of titles in Playlist

Postby rumplestiltskin » 16 Feb 2017 02:36

I'm running a Serviio media server and everything works great when I view the content on my Roku devices. However, when I connect to the Serviio server using VLC (on another Win10 PC), the UPNP playlist shows a double-listing of the files. I can see these are thumbnails generated by the Serviio server based upon the location of the files and the fact that they "play" for 10 seconds then VLC proceeds to the next (correct) file. I'll mention that all files (both correct ones and the thumbnails) have exactly the same file names (which I'm sure Serviio is creating).

If I configure Serviio to -not- generate thumbnails, the "double" files vanish. While I -can- manage to work with these double-files (as I do like having thumbnails to remind me which video I last watched), I'm thinking there might be some VLC configuration I can do to stop VLC from even displaying these files in the UPNP playlist.

I'll mention again that these "duplicate" files do not show up when using my Roku to display content from the Serviio server.

Thanks for any assistance!
