I need to blur a video played back with VLC. In the menu I found a gaussian blur filter that produces the look I need.
But there is one major problem: the filter is SLOOOOOOOOOOOOW
Once the gaussian blur is activated, the video takes several seconds (!) to render a single frame. I tested that on various machines (Windows 7 to 10) with strong hardware (i7 CPU, GTX1070, 32GB RAM...). Is that the normal behavior???
Are there any alternatives? Any tricks I could use? Any third party plugins? Any settings that speed things up?
