Firefox plugin for type application/x-rtplayer

Postby maxlux » 29 Mar 2016 13:51

Hello,

the WebUI of a DBPOWER C300E (IP cam) failed to show me the live video.

The installation CD includes a VLC Mozilla plugin but neither that VLC version nor the current one (downloaded yesterday, Mozilla plugin enabled) seems to work with the MIME type "application/x-rtplayer" (object tag in html source of WebUI).

It's possible to watch a netstream in VLC directly with:

Code: Select all

rtsp://user:pass@192.168.178.25/11

But I'd prefer the WebUI to make further settings.

Within Firefox I've tried to set the type "application/x-rtplayer" to the VLC plugin, but I can only choose applications not plugins.

Is there a way to get it running?

I'm running Win 8.1.
@Mod: So if this plugin problem is OS specific move this request, please.

Regards

Max

Maybe but I am not aware that VLC would ever have supported that proprietary MIME type.
