How to get phone vids in landscape. HELP!!!

Can some please explain the step to get VLC stop flipping the video to portrait and not give the simple rotate option which leave huge black bar on the sides!

Or to disable this horrid, uncompromising auto rotate feature!

The information about orientation is embedded into the header of video, so VLC is just applying what is found.

However, you can force a rotation using the Rotate filter:
Menu Tools -> Effects and Filters -> Video effects tab
Then use the Rotate controls of the Geometry tab.

Thanks for the header thing but im not sure if I can edit that info and as I said the simple rote fix does not fix the issue.

Anyone else? am I the only one with this problem??

Ok got solved! You have to check Transformed in Tool> Effects and Filters>Geometry
