Chromecast: Functional in Nightly Build 3.0?

I downloaded the January 27, 2016 Nightly Build of "VLC 3.0.0-git Vetinari".
Is Chromecast functional in this build? If so, can someone please tell me how to use it (in plain English)?

Here are my settings:
Stream output->Sout stream->Chromecast-> using defaults
Interface->Control interfaces-> ticked "Chromecast interface"
Interface->Control interfaces->Chromecast-> entered my Chromecast IP address, using defaults for other 3 fields

I know this is NOT an OS section, but it might(?) be of help to know I'm running OS X 10.11.3
