How can I check if MP3 file is Stereo or Joint Stereo using VLC?

For questions and discussion that is NOT (I repeat NOT) specific to a certain Operating System.

Codec Information shows "Stereo" on channels even if the file is Joint Stereo.

I don't know what you mean by Joint Stereo. Dual-mono shows as Dual-mono.

I don't mean Dual-mono. I mean Joint Stereo. See: http://forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/i ... 3s.255440/
I remember that in good old Winamp you can see if MP3 file is encoded Joint Stereo or "regular" Stereo.

That's an internal detail of MP3. VLC does not expose that.
