can VLC remove Pulldown? (Inverse Telecine)?

can VLC remove Pulldown? (Inverse Telecine)?

Postby Silicon-Carne » 24 Sep 2015 10:37

Hi.
Is it possible to remove 3:2 Pulldown using VLC?
The files i'd like to do it with are from DVD's (VOB-files) (Japanese NTSC-DVD's)
Opening the Codec propeties menu shows 29.97 fps but I know that this incication is due to pulldown, so that the "real" frame-rate is 23.976.

converting a clip to 29.97fps just causes this stuttering every few frames. AND
importing to 23.976 converted Stuff is not properly possible in an video-editor.

I think that this is NO Region-Code issue

Or which program else is good for this? Freeware or open-source if possible?

I'd like to convert 52 episodes being in original VOBs on my disk to mp4-files.
A screen-record option would be too time consuming.

Thanks in advance :)

Did you try the IVTC option in the deinterlacer?

You can set the IVTC option for the deinterlacer on the easy Preferences - Video - Deinterlacing - Mode.
