Can't get past menus

Hi,

Just downloaded VLC to view a DVD i have burned which contains a Video_TS folder.

When I choose play DVD, the menu displays fine. When I click play, however, I am shown a cone logo which stays there and nothing plays.

I have tried using the play folder, file and multiple files options all to the same result.

Any help would be very much appreciated as I am a first time user and am very eager to resolve this and watch my DVD!

Open it through the DVD opening menu, not the folder opening.

Thanks, but I've tried opening it through the open Disc setting. When I do this, it shows the DVD's menu interface. When I press play or select a scene, it shows the cone logo again.
