newbee Q, fullscreen controls and progress bar

hi guys

i have to say that im pretty blown away by how impressive VLC is. this is my first day with VLC and i have a simple question. I want to use VLC in my HTPC as the default player. the only problem i have is that i want to see the progress and have some kind of GUI in Full screen mode. i played with VLC for quite a while and havnt found anyway to do it? can any one help with this?

There's some keyboard shortcuts you can use in fullscreen mode...

I use ATL+LEFT and ALT+RIGHT for going back and forward a bit in the movie...
