Newbie Multicast Video Viewing RTP-96 H.264 Video

Postby ShiftyBloke » 02 Apr 2015 11:50

Hi,
I’m a complete newbie to VLC, I am trying to use VLC to view a multicast video stream from a Video Server manufactured by NiceVision (http://www.nice.com).
Below is URL of a diagram showing my (very basic) setup.

http://1drv.ms/1MEyTFs

I do not any access to the Server, so all my configuration must be done on my own laptop.
The Video Stream is Multicast to: 239.239.0.5 on Port 10111. It is H.264 Video but with a dynamic RTP Type of 96.
I can ‘connect’ to the stream, using udp://239.239.0.5:10111 and WireShark show the NIC as receiving the data from the server, but no video is displayed in VLC.

Having read quite a bit on the forum, I am well confused about SDP files etc…
I can launch VLC from command line, but that’s about it with my VLC experience…
I’m using Windows 7 BTW.

H-E-L-P !
