MPEG file conformance check?

For questions and discussion that is NOT (I repeat NOT) specific to a certain Operating System.

MPEG file conformance check?

Postby xerces8 » 13 Mar 2015 17:39

Hi!

As a followup to https://trac.videolan.org/vlc/ticket/7636#comment:14
I wonder if there is some kind of MPEG file validator or similar tool available?

In the particular case, to determine if VLC creates broken/non-standard files or not.

Regards,
David

If you want to ensure that the basic structure of your MPEG file is correct, you can always use http://www.ffmpeg.org/ffprobe.html
