Some vob movies play completely - some don't

Postby medusa569 » 06 Dec 2014 17:22

I have noticed that most of my movies that I watch on my pc will not play entirely. It's as if they will play clip by clip. The properties of these disk are usually multiple VOB, bup and ifo files...usually with separate Audio and video folders. While I have them play for this short while in synch with no problems it will cut off after a little bit. On the other hand I noticed one DVD that played completey through uninterrupted had only a Video folder with the same type of files,..bov, bup and ifo files.
I don't know why each would play differently in the same DVD player. Mmost of the movies seem to have the file grouping that I first described. Is there a way to play these disk movies without interruption on VCL or to link these mutiple files together to play one after the other? thanks in advance.

How do you open DVD in VLC?
Media > Open Disc... > select Disc device [E:\] or Browse... for VIDEO_TS folder
