Unable to add watermark image/text to the video

Postby kenny1999 » 21 Sep 2014 19:01

Hi

I know the route to add watermark image/text: Tools > Effects and Filters > Video Effects > Overlay >

Then check ' Add logo ' or/and ' Add text '

The image logo and text logo appears as I playback the video DVD and click to record them and finish with stop button.

But the output video does NOT contain any watermark image or text.

How to fix it? Is it a bug? I am using the most-update version of VLC player

You need to transcode the video with appropriate filters (Logo, Marquee).
Media > Stream...
Then create your custom transcoding profile there and tick the filter in Video tab > Filters tab: [v] Logo video filter.
Check my recent post at https://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.ph ... 38#p410302
In the last step, Option Setup, edit the transcoding chain and replace vfilter=logo with sfilter=logo or sfilter=logo:marq.
Advanced settings of the filters are in VLC preferences:
Tools > Preferences > Show settings = All > Video \ Subtitles/OSD \ Logo overlay, Marquee
