Does VLC Play Blue Ray 3D Blu Ray Discs

Hi
i have a new computer running an ASUS BLU RAY DISC 3D PLAYER.
I Cant get vlc player to play blu ray 3d blu rays,
is it becoz vlc does not play the blu ray 3d discs?

If vlc does play them are there extra files i have to download?

if so could you point me in the right direction to get hold
of the correct vlc files i need thanks
