Making a good music list

Postby Coenvheuven » 13 Jun 2014 01:36

Hello everybody,

I few weeks ago I changed from WMP to VLC to play FLAC files. It's a nice media player but I have a few questions about it.
First of all, I'm new here so it feels good to join the community.
First question - I always used WMP to make my own music list. To do so I only needed to drag mp3 files to the music library and WMP synchronised it so it was in the list. How does this work with VLC?
I made a folder called music. How do I make sure all the following folders like for example songs of dr. dre will appear in the list? You know that it takes all the music from the main Music folder with subfolders in there(music from each artist).
And how can I make it work that the list will be made again when i start up VLC? So i can use it right away.
Second question - How is it possible to see an album picture in front of the songs from the album just like WMP? And how can I separate the names of the artists so that i don't get a list with each artist under each other. But I want it like this: Seeing the name of the artist above and see the songs under it.
Like this: http://prntscr.com/3s958m
And that for multiple single songs/or albums.

Sorry for the bad explanation. I'm Dutch and I'm trying to make it as clear as possible.

Thanks!

Coen.
