Enabling libcab for Enigma/Rainmaker [FIXED]

Postby decado » 06 Jun 2014 15:01

Hi,

Apologies if this has been addressed previously. A forum search turned up little of value.

I'm trying to enable the libcab plugin to work with the Rainmaker Enigma skins. I've followed the instructions on the below page, however when I come to the third step I'm stuck as that simply isn't an available option for me.

I have;

I'd appreciate any help, I've tried rolling back several versions of VLC but that didn't work - I suspect I'm missing some other plugins which might enable this but am not having any luck in searching down a solution.

I'm running 64bit Windows 7.

Cheers
D

You will need a 64-bits build of the plugin. Please refer to the vendor, not here.

Thanks for the response.

I am already using the 64bit version of the plugin picked up from here;

I've now fixed this and all is working as expected.

My error was assuming that as I am using 64bit windows that I was also using 64bit VLC. In fact my version is the 32bit VLC. So updating the new libcad plugin with the 32 bit version from my above post did the trick.
