VLC doesn't show cover art in MKV

I have an MKV file that has cover art (Attachments) in it, but VLC doesn't show the cover in Tools->Media Information. Now it does show it for some files, but not for others. Using MKVInfo, the files that show the cover art have the Attachments above the first cluster, the ones that don't have it after the clusters. I don't see anything in the matroska docs about this type of restriction. There is a SeekHead at the start of the file that has records for the attachments record.

I can post an example file if that would help.

If it would help, Icaros does display the cover art (it's a Windows Explorer add-in that shows thumbnails for media files), so I know it's correct. Is there anyone who deals with MKV files in VLC that could comment on this post?

Please upload a short sample of a problematic file to either http://streams.videolan.org/upload/ or to Zippyshare.com (200 MB max) or to EmbedUpload.com, the latter will upload the file for you to several other hosts (use the default ones) and then post the link to the file here.

If needed cut it with DGsplit and read here about how to do it:

50 MB max should be enough.

I just downloaded the 64 bit version, and it still doesn't show the cover art. Did you test it out on Windows?
