Vlc Player (2.1.3 Rincewind) doesn't detect the audio stream in a .mts-file containing AVC video & PCM audio.
A similar problem was posted about a year ago with version 2.0.6: https://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.ph ... 0p#p374345
It's a file recorded on the Panasonic AG-AC160A.
AVCHD 1920x1080x12 50p with PCM sound 48kHz.
You can find it here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/11lh0ox2zhis6t1/00037.MTS (Don't mind the stupid content, it's just whistling, at start there even isn't any image, but the sound should be there from the beginning).
The problem exists with all files recorded in this format on the camera.
Sony Vegas Pro 11 has no problem with the file. Edius 5.5, although not supporting 1080-50p, also has no problem to import and play the file. The camera itself can ofcourse also play the file without any problems.
I couldn't find any ticket on the VLC Trac.
(While writing this, the dropbox file is still being uploaded, and mentions 3 hours to go at very slow speed for the moment)
