How do I make the volume slider wider?

For questions and discussion that is NOT (I repeat NOT) specific to a certain Operating System.

How do I make the volume slider wider?

Postby Gary King » 09 Oct 2005 06:16

How do I make the volume slider wider, so I can tell the difference between, say, volume at 20 and volume at 30? It looks the same, since there are really only 5 vertical 'bars' in Windows XP to display the volume, which makes it really hard to choose a specific volume level.

Thanks in advance! :)

Blame winXP for that, on win2K it is easier to see the volume :)
You can probably change the whole XP theme to workaround that, if you really think it is worthwhile...

How can I expand the volume slider bar, though?

You can't without changing the code (except if you use the skins interface).

Okay, that's out of the question then :) I'm not THAT advanced.
