Volume boost now only up to 125% instead of 200%?

For questions and discussion that is NOT (I repeat NOT) specific to a certain Operating System.

Volume boost now only up to 125% instead of 200%?

Postby RogerDodger » 11 Mar 2014 02:05

I've had a look to see if this has already been brought up or if there's a setting I might have changed at my end to make this happen but haven't found anything so far, so;

As of, I think 2.1.2, the volume control offers the ability to boost to 125% whereas previously I was able to ramp it up as far as 200%.

I use extra volume quite a lot on a range of sources which quite simply have really low level audio. That 200% does get used. I'd actually rate it very high on my list of Favourite Things About VLC player.

Could we please have it put back to how it was, up to 200%?

This is my first post here, so hi all, and to the devs - thank you loads for what you do.

Set "Maximum Volume displayed" under Preferences -> All -> Interface -> Qt to the value 200 and end it with "Save".

Excellent, job done. Thanks for that!
