sub track greyed out

Postby megx » 07 Mar 2014 11:43

Hi
I am playing a VOB film file with subs - the kind you usually are able to turn on with a right click and get the track option. However when I try, it is greyed out. I know the subs are embedded in the VOB files as my friend has the exact same download and can access the track in this way. I don't believe the fault is with the VOB files as I have tried two different sources to the same effect. I downloaded up to date VLC codecs uninstalled VLC reinstalled VLC with no change.

Any ideas, thanks. Megx

As shown, I only have these two coped streams video and audio

should there be a third for subtitles?

as I said, I know the subs are embedded in the VOB and my friend can play them on his computer with VLC

Can anyone help me with this please. I really need to watch this film and play these subs.

Please help.
