More than 2 videos open in vlc = instant computer lockup

Postby aspartame » 12 Jan 2014 02:47

Hello

So for whatever reason I have a tendency to have a video playing, pause & minimize it, forget about it and open another. Repeat.

However whenever there's more than 2 videos paused in the background and I open another one my PC instantly freezes and I have to shut it off. Sometimes I can ctrl alt delete and end task (which takes forever as there's an insane amount of slowness and lag at that point).

Doesn't matter what type/quality of videos are involved they could be the lowest of low quality videos.

More than 3 versions of VLC open with any sort of video = instant frozen PC.

I have an AMD A4-3000 APU ( don't use the onboard graphics) a Geforce GTS 7300 card (w 512 ram) and 3.25 GB of ram running XP SP3.

Could it be my PC? I'm running the latest version of VLC.

Thanks.

Try to change the video output in preferences.
