Screenshot contrast

Postby frostwyrm » 30 Oct 2013 00:50

I randomly made a screenshot and realized it has better contrast than normal video output. Now, I can use contrast effect to make it look more like the screenshot but I don't get it. Why is there a difference?

Also, I realized that other players like WMP do not have this problem so its either something with VLC or maybe gpu drivers.

Sorry for digging up this old thread.

This solution works fine, but I realized that when you select <always on top>, the color limitation is applied again, this may be some nvidia driver limitation or a bug.
When you restart VLC, the picture is fine again.
