convert settings for quicktime

Postby Mr Waljit » 30 Sep 2013 14:08

Hi

I am trying to convert a video clip from a DSC camera (.MTS file from a Panasonic Lumix) into a format that can be played on quicktime (either on a PC or on a MAC). I have tried various settings and searched through the forums, but can't get any of them to work. The converted video plays fine in VLC, but in quicktime I get no audio and no video. I understand that QT can be pretty picky.

Any pointers please?

thanks

TBH we have no clue about the settings to use for QuickTime compatibility.
Your best bet is to use tools like Handbrake or Avidemux which have specific preset profiles for QuickTime AFAIK.
