VLC: browse a Western Digital MBL with Twonky Mediaplayer

Postby TomF » 20 Jul 2013 13:21

Hi,
I'd like to know how I use VLC at work to play my musicfiles (MP3) that are on my Western Digital MyBookLive with Twonky Mediaplayer at home.

Please let me explain the situation:
- At home I have a Western Digital MyBookLive with Twonky Mediaplayer.
- At work a have a PC with VLC on it.
- I'd like to listen to my music at work.

What I already tried and configured:
- Activated Twonky Mediaplayer on my Western Digital MyBookLive.
- In my router I portforwarded port 9000.
(This works. I tested it with an anonymous proxy. The Twonky webpages with the music files appears, but in the browser I can only download the music files. I cannot play them)

My question:
How can I browse and play the music files in VLC?

Thank you very kindly in advance.

With high regards.
Tom
