WHY????

Postby JBRONCFAN » 09 Jun 2013 14:49

Why is VLC......all of the sudden "fixing" what it appears to be broxen .avi files?? These files played fine for years so I assume it is something with the newer version of VLC Player. New .avi's run fine but my older .avi files always seem to need a few extra seconds so VLC can "fix" the files which, like I said, played fine on VLC for years.

You still haven't explained why this is happening. Is the latest version of VLC doing this??? I am using the 64-bit beta of VLC.

When I select "About" in my version of VLC I get "VLC media player 2.0.5 Twoflower".

I am using the 64-bit beta of VLC.
x64 builds of VLC are still experimental.
You should stick to an x86 build for a regular daily use.

Uninstalled the 64-bit beta and reinstalled latest non-beta and all is well.
