Cannot play Australian DVB-T file

[WhatThe]

DTV programs broadcast by the Australian national broadcaster and recorded on a Fetch TV PVR will not play in VLC. The PVR seems to be just dumping the contents of the channel from the transport stream into a file. These files can be played back by Power DVD and the Plex Media Server web client.

Yes, I can reproduce the issue and FFplay can play it even though there are these error messages:
