VLC crashes on Mac OSX trying to play .mkv file

Hello,

My laptop is a macbook pro and used to run .mkv normally. Since a short period of time it randomly crashes, I have tried the solution that the troubleshoot gave me (Preferences -> Input / Codecs -> Demuxers -> Matroska -> Preload Directory (uncheck the checkbox) and I reinstalled VLC. Nothing works. The main error that I get in the crash report says: "main error: ES_OUT_SET_(GROUP_)PCR is called too late (pts_delay increased to 1000 ms)
