Playing DVDs on two monitors

Postby blackbeagle » 28 Jan 2013 18:21

I have a Dell Latitude D810 with VLC version 2.0.5 Twoflower. What I want to do is play a DVD on the Dell AND on a 2nd external monitor. I'm essentially using it as a "Presentation". However, when I play a DVD, it only shows up on the laptop screen. ON the 2nd monitor, the VLC player shows (including Tools/Preferences, etc.), but in the video area, it only shows just the black box. No videos. WHen I play Youtube videos, it works fine (playing on both screens).

I'm trying to play around with some adjustments within VLC and cannot figure it out. I would appreciate any help. Thank you.

Use clone. and disable overlay.

Not sure what you mean by "USse Clone" but I unchecked "Disable Overlay" and it works. Thank you very much.
