SUBTITLE IN REGIONAL LANGUAGE SEEMS DISORDERED

Postby jayaprakash » 01 Jan 2013 10:20

I have created one subtitle using the following specifications..
Application: Subtitle Edit 3.3
Language: Malayalam
Encoding: Unicode (UTF-8)
Format: Subrip (.srt)
When I tried play this subtitle along with the movie, first of all I made some settings in VLC as follows.
In the preference, in Subtitles & On Screen Display Settings, changed the subtitles language default encoding to Universal (UTF-8) and changed the font to one of the Unicode font of the regional language.
But the problem is when playing the move, the language appears in correct font but the it seems disordered. So can't read well.
May I get help on this matter?

This is a known limitation because Malayalam needs complex layout that is only supported in .ssa
