Batch Snapshots 3-30 seconds in?

I have a lot of videos that I would like to create thumbnails for, but it can't be within the first one or 2 seconds because the thumbnail might be unrecognizable. I know there is a guide on how to create thumbnails using the commandline mode but I don't know if that would work with a lot of files. unless I had like a playlist of all the files and the command applied to all of them. Any ideas?
