Playlist doesn't display folder content directly

when i drag a folder from file browser into playlist, only the folder's name displayed. i must double click the folder's name to show its content, but unfortunately it directly plays first item of the content, although i just want to see the content without playing it. how to make the playlist directly display content of the folder? thanks.
