Codec support for LVF format?

Okay, just a quick question regarding playback support. I have some video files from my security system which I need to view on my machine. I've backed them up to my computer and, while they are encoded in H.264, they appear to be in some odd format--LVF (the extension is .lvf). I'm on a Mac, but I'm assuming that really shouldn't matter for this particular question. Does anyone know whether VLC supports this format, what the format is, and how I can playback the files (or convert them)?

I've contacted the retailer where I purchased the system (Parts Express) and they suggested VLC, which is what I first tried anyway. VLC appears to attempt to open the file but nothing really happens. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

Unfortunately the actual files are about 1GB each and I don't really have a way to split them, so it's somewhat difficult to send those over. Let me know if anyone has any insight as to what the issue is, thanks!

Hmm, interesting, that's what I figured. The better question is what does support it? Anyone know of ANY program out there that I can get this ridiculous format in to something usable? I've read some other posts on other forums, but they are quite old and don't really seem to have any answers.

Sounds like older versions of GOMPlayer will handle the format, also Elecard's AVCHD Player if you can find it.
