Looping

How do I set VLC to loop indefinately a video file?
Have done the settings in Preferences/Playlist/General to "Repeat all" and "Repeat current item" but the file only plays once.

Use a lot of weather satellite animations and as they are very short they need to be repeated or they become very difficult to interpret.

I've just tried with VCL 0.8.2 and checking "repeat current item" makes it loop indefinitely. You check the box and the restart VLC.
