vlc as media player in terminalserver environment

Postby rh » 17 Jul 2012 14:25

Hi vlc-friends,
okay, this question i try to solve a long time, but not really sucessfull.

Is there anybody who have experiences to set vlc as a media player in a (typical MS) terminalserver environment? Of course i know that is possible to install and play, but i think the problem is the video-/ audio syncro caused by specials from the rdp protocol. In my case the video is playing good but the audio ist stuttering. Is there strategy to near the solution, f.i. to setup video bitrate, audio-sync ... ?
scarcely you do it right it works ...

Decoding must be performed on the receiver to access the graphic card directly and the high-bandwidth physical video connector.

You cannot use a media player through a remote terminal, VLC or other.
