Playing Bluray

Postby TheFalcon » 10 Jul 2012 23:00

Has anyone managed to play Bluray video's including menus at any platform?

I followed this guide, it didn't work. Someone suggested to put the AAC key files into %APPDATA%/roaming/aacs/ , but that didn't work either.
http://vlc-bluray.whoknowsmy.name/

I get this error every time. So far I tried 3 Bluray movies.

Blu-Ray error:
AACS MMC failed.

If you have same problems like me or can't play Bluray, then I would like to hear too :)

I've got exactly the same problem (same AAC key files installation and same "AACS MMC failed" message after that). Unfortunately no idea how to solve the problem yet, but very interested to hear about a solution.

We need to develop better logging for those issues.

I was able to get it to work by switching to 64-bit VLC and using the 64-bit libaacs.dll

I'm running Windows 7 64-bit.

MMC failed is due to a corrupted libaacs.dll. Please download a new one.

Sorry to resurrect this old thread but I'm getting the same error, AACS MMC failed. This is after following http://vlc-bluray.whoknowsmy.name/.

VLC 2.2.1 on OS X 10.10.4.

I get an error as well. I put in a Blu-Ray disc and this error pops up. Maybe someone can help me out with this?

Blu-Ray error:
Path doesn't appear to be a bluray
Your input can't be opened:
VLC is unable to open the MRL 'bluray:///D:/'. Check the log for details.
