entering special playlistentry by tiping a Number

Postby vajrasana » 03 Jul 2012 19:40

Hey there!

I'm serching for an special remote for VLC.
for an theater I've to start random songs.

Those songs belong to a Playlist. I'm going to acces the songs by entering the numer of the playlistposition into the numpad.
After pressing for Example "RETURN" the song should start to play.

Theres no need get the position. Ofcors entering the first 3 numbers of a mp3-Tag ore name is also possible.

Most important parts are following:
-> songs may not run without beeing startet
-> There sholud be no Need to look on the screen.

Is there an includet function in VLC or has somebody an Idea to solve this Problem?

perhaps ther's an acces to playlistposition in commandline, but I did not find anyone.

Best reguards,
vajrasana
