Can't paste streaming url on VLC 2.0

Postby ashanta » 02 Jun 2012 18:25

Hi,

I couldn't paste any streaming url. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't work.

PS: This issue is for all kind of streaming, rtsp, mms, http. (Ctrl V doesn't appear to work properly).

How can I fix this, please ??

You told us nothing about your OS and the VLC version being used and all of the steps of the process you're trying to achieve. We need more details.

When you're not able to paste into VLC can you paste into another app such as a text editor ?
Do you have some extra device connected like a tablet ?

Lotesdelere,

Vista Business 32 bits, VLC 2.0.

Yes, it works perfectly on a text editor.

I have an external HDD

I don't find the VLC logs folder.

On Tools/Preferences/Advanced Settings/Interface, which verbose level do I need to specify in this case ?

I have the exact same problem. I can not paste into VLC at Media / Open Network Stream / Please enter a network URL:
Using VLC 1.1.9 on Win7 Pro
I have the exact same problem on VLC 2.0.5 on Vista Home

This is a pain as I host "remote" media on Webdav servers, but do the actual file access directly via VLC. Not being able to paste into the URL is... an issue. It used to work on much older versions of VLC, but I don't want to downgrade as VLC 1.1.9 works well with my Apache setup and software.

Any solutions to fix this ? Is this related to the "white space" filter ? Is there a way to turn off that filter ?

thanks for your assistance
