[HELP] Video freeze with Transform filter in slower PC

Postby ccn » 22 Jun 2012 11:26

Dear all,

I use libvlc to play FULL HD 30fps video, with a transform filter to ratate 180 as below:
"--video-filter=transform",
"--transform-type=180"

In slower PC (CPU T2300 1.6GHz), while playing, the video will be freeze and the audio is still running OK. If I run the same program in my Core i5 notebook, it works fine. If I remove the transform filter, it can work fine in the slower PC as well(sometimes a little choppy). Does anyone know how to solve the video freeze issue, even played choppy is more acceptable than freeze.

I tried to set the file caching to larger size, it's no help at all.

Plus, I try to use vlc.exe with video filter -> geomery -> rotate 180, it seems the same problem. Anyone can help?

Thanks
B.R.

Try to use VLC GPU decoding.
