xspf file playback

Postby Telegram Sam » 29 Apr 2012 17:16

I downloaded an audio track from YouTube and saved it in my My Music folder. The file extension chosen by default is xspf. According to what appears to be the settings VLC should be able to play xspf files. However repeated attempts have failed and the message is that VLC does not recognize "undf" formats.
- Is there an explanation for this?
- Is there a way round the problem?
- or do I have to finid a way of converting my xspf file to another format, and if so which one and how?
I am not a techie!!
Thanks

XSPF is a playlist format, not a video format.
