Screen goes black?

Hello. Whenever I play any game on fullscreen and then I alt+tab back to VLC, the screen goes black or sometimes it just takes a screenshot of the background image and gets frozen?

I reformatted my PC, updated all drivers, still get same issue. My OS is Win7 Ulti 64.
