Audio device not changing

Postby mikidikikidi » 27 Mar 2012 05:29

I downloaded the newest version about a week ago. Since then when I change my audio device in Windows settings (between speakers and headphones), VLC player will still stream the audio through the device I had in use when I started the program. So I have to restart it every time I want to switch the audio device. VLC player is the only program that does this, and it used to switch fluently between the devices. What is the problem?

Also a more general question: I only ever update the player whenever I have some problems with playback, like when it won't play a new type of video file perfectly or at all and I'd like to know if there's a way to just update the codec/whatever stuff to keep it up to date with new type of media files, rather than having to get used to some new UI changes and facing problems like the one I described above.

This is a bug in VLC 2.0.1. Use 2.0.2 from NB for that: http://nightlies.videolan.org/build/win ... -win32.exe
