Don't want VLC to default to 5.1 audio

Don't want VLC to default to 5.1 audio

Postby log1k » 18 Mar 2012 04:45

Every time I watch a video it defaults to 5.1. The audio on 5.1 makes the voices really quiet and any background noise like music or weird effects much louder than they should be. Some videos it even cuts out the dialogue completely and just has the music from the movies/tv shows that should normally be in the background.
Any help would be appreciated.

1.1.9

I installed a previous version to see if I could fix it that way because I never had a problem until the latest update. But now it doesn't want to do anything..

As for output... the output module says default, if that's what you're looking for.

Other than that, it plays through my speakers with issues, but my headphones fine.

You still did not specify which output and which version...

I said updated to latest. As in latest version you guys have available to download from the download button.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by output if I still haven't answered that question.

Latest version means different things depending on where you download from and what operating system you use. Since you refuse the answer the questions, I will not try to help you.

Wow, I have told you both of these things multiple times now.

Latest version is 2.0.1 and output module says default. Can you read?

"the output module says default, if that's what you're looking for"
"Updated to latest; same issue."
"I said updated to latest. As in latest version you guys have available to download from the download button."

There's nothing to read between the lines here. Stop being an idiot.

Incase you were wondering http://i.imgur.com/Eu0Gf.png That's the big download button there. Don't strain your eyes it might be hard to see.
